Conduit Factory integrates deployment tools that enable you to deploy a Conduit Factory conduit and can be used to deploy standard Palm application and databases and 3rd party conduit too. This is the new version of SetupMAX and it's powered by a complete Windows installer (My Inno Setup).
At present the development of a "conduit" is a tedious process requiring a significant amount of knowledge concerning the Palm environment and of PC-based development techniques.
Conduit Factory offers a simple way to carry out the same operations with a high degree of modularity. In addition it allows users of Palm applications, networks administrators or suppliers of services or of Palm routines to exchange information easily and quickly between the PC and Palm without having to develop a "conduit" each time.
Some examples of Conduit Factory applications:
Copy a Web page and to convert it into a Palm DOC document.
Enhanced: Transfert an Access database to your Palm (or any other OLEDB like Oracle, Ingres, MySQL database too).
Enable the synchronization of data between Palm and PC databases
Create - native documents for Palm on the fly and set these up on the Palm.
Read the content of your mailbox (email) on your Palm
Read news on your Palm
Download an FTP file -and copy its content onto your Palm, for easy consultation
Convert data from a Palm application format to another
